惟有我，是安慰你们的(赛51：12)。
愿颂赞归与我们的主耶稣基督的父 神，就是发慈悲的父，赐各样安慰的 神。我们在一切患难中，他就安慰我们，叫我们能用 神所赐的安慰去安慰那遭各样患难的人(林后l：3，4)。父亲怎样怜恤他的儿女，耶和华也怎样怜恤敬畏他的人。因为他知道我们的本体，思念我们不过是尘土(诗103：13，14)。母亲怎样安慰儿子，我就照样安慰你们(赛66：13)。你们要将一切的忧虑卸给 神，因为他顾念你们(彼前5：7)。 主啊，你是有怜悯、有恩典的 神，不轻易发怒，并有丰盛的慈爱和诚实(诗86：15)。一位保惠师，就是真理的圣灵(约14：16，17)。我们的软弱有圣灵帮助(罗8：26)。 神要擦去他们一切的眼泪，不再有死亡，也不再有悲哀、哭号、疼痛，因为以前的事都过去了(启21：4)。
I, even I, am he that comforteth you. ISA. 51:12.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. — Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. — As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you. — Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you. Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. Another Comforter … even the Spirit of truth. — The Spirit … helpeth our infirmities. God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

你们原是被他所召，好与他儿子一同得分(林前1：9)。
他从父 神得尊贵荣耀的时候，从极大荣光之中有声音出来向他说：这是我的爱子，我所喜悦的(彼后1：17)。
你看父赐给我们是何等的慈爱，使我们得称为 神的儿女(约壹3：1)。你们该效法 神，好像蒙慈爱的儿女一样(弗5：1)。既是儿女，便是后嗣，就是 神的后嗣，和基督同作后嗣(罗8：17)。他是神荣耀所发的光辉，是 神本体的真像(来1：3)。你们的光也当这样照在人前，叫他们看见你们的好行为，便将荣耀归给你们在天上的父(太5：16)。为我们信心创始成终的耶稣。他因那摆在前面的喜乐，就轻看羞辱(来12：2)。
我还在世上说这话，是叫他们心里充满我的喜乐(约17：13)。 我们既多受基督的苦楚，就靠基督多得安慰(林后l：5)。
Ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son. I COR. 1:9.
He received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. Be ye … followers of God, as dear children. — If children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ. The brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person. — Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame.
These things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. — As the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
