女儿啊，你只管安坐等候(路3：18)。
你要谨慎安静。不要心里胆怯(赛7：4)。你们要休息，要知道我是 神(诗46：10)!我不是对你说过，你若信，就必看见神的荣耀吗(约11：40)?骄傲的必屈膝，狂妄的必降卑。在那日，惟独耶和华被尊崇(赛2：17)。
马利亚在耶稣脚前坐着听他的道。马利亚已经选择那上好的福分，是不能夺去的(路10：39，42)。你们得救在乎归回安息，你们得力在乎平静安稳(赛30：15)。在床上的时候，要心里思想，并要肃静(诗4：4)。
你当默然倚靠耶和华，耐性等候他。不要因那道路通达的和那恶谋成就的心怀不平(诗37：7)。
他必不怕凶恶的信息，他心坚定，依靠耶和华。他心确定，总不惧怕(诗112：7，8)。 信靠的人必不着急(赛28：16)。

Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted. — Be still, and know that I am God. — Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? — The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established.

我所作的，你如今不知道，后来必明白(约13：7)。
你也要记念耶和华你的 神在旷野引导你这四十年，是要苦练你、试验你、要知道你心内如何，肯守他的诚命不肯(申8：2)。我从你旁边经过，看见你的时候正动爱情，……便向你起誓，与你结盟，你就归于我。这是主耶和华说的(结16：8)。主所爱的，他必管教(来12：6)。
亲爱的弟兄啊，有火炼的试验临到你们，不要以为奇怪，倒要欢喜，因为你们是与基督一同受苦，使你们在他荣耀显现的时候，也可以欢喜快乐(彼前4：12，13)。 我们这至暂至轻的苦楚，要为我们成就极重无比永远的荣耀。原来我们不是顾念所见的，乃是顾念所不见的(林后4：17，18)。
